Happy New Year!

Are you someone who makes New Year's resolutions?

I recently discovered that resolutions were rooted in promises made to deities. That was a bit eye-opening and reinforcing that maybe I didn't want to do that. LOL

Even before I learned that was the case, I gave up making resolutions.
In their place, I have chosen to ask the Lord for a word for the year.
Have you done that before?
It takes listening...and trust that the Lord really does want to communicate with your heart.

Last night, as I waited for the countdown to the New Year, I asked the Lord what word He has for me to focus on for this year, and the word I heard in my spirit was "Restoration."

Restoration? I wasn't sure exactly what He wanted to restore in my life. Life has been good. I was confident, though, that the Lord would give me more information to help me understand what He was meaning by that.

Have you ever been asleep, but kind of conscious? In the middle of the night, as I was sleeping, I could feel myself having a conversation with the Lord., and in that space I asked Him what He was planning to restore.

"The things that have been broken..."

• broken relationships

• broken promises

• my broken body

• broken business systems

• and more that remains to be seen....

May the Lord bless you with eyes to see and ears to hear all that He is doing and speaking to you.
